March Reflections: Embracing Change and Creativity

mountain range under beige sky

I can’t believe it’s March already. This year has gone by in a blur for me. I spent a lot of time hibernating at home where possible because the winter months were cold. Now that the sun is out and moods have shifted, I can finally think straight again.

So without further ado, I know I haven’t published much on this blog lately, but I have been writing elsewhere.

Things I have written lately:

  • Poem: Speak of me: I have been thinking a lot about my mum especially with Mother’s Day coming up. It can also be on account of the many dreams I have been having about my parents. So while I was on my way to work, I started to write. I am so glad I did because I have received even more ideas just from writing this down. To this effect, I will be sharing more poems about my mum to keep her memory alive.
  • Writing when you can’t feel things: I wrote this while in the throws of the winter blues. Something about the cold weather coupled with the urge to stay at home and keep warm was highly triggering. I felt a lot of things but was not ready to share so I settled on this article on medium.

What I am reading

I am currently reading Chimanda’s Ngoizi latest book and I am enjoying it. I will be writing a book review when I am done.
