Lets start with my name
My name is Ibukunoluwa. It is a Nigerian name from the Yoruba language that means ‘Blessing of God’. My friends call me Ibs for short.
I truly love my name, even though I got teased alot mainly in primary school as a result of people struggling to pronounce it properly and making up a horrible song about it. 🙄
Anyway, If you know me well enough, you will know I don’t like the other shorter version, ‘Ibu’ so please, just stick to ‘Ibs!’
What is this website about?
This blog is about my writing journey.
Writing is my confidant, my silent friend to which I can run to whenever I feel annoyed, upset or distraught. My jumbled thoughts take form, and I can find solace there.
Whenever I am on the move, whether on the tube or the bus, my mind goes into overdrive, and I start writing. I write about my thoughts or events that have transpired – it could be anything – but I end up with something concrete. A message or truth of some kind. These shouldn’t just stay in my notepad; they should be published for the world to see.
Writing is my confidant, my silent friend to which I can run to whenever I feel annoyed, upset or distraught. My jumbled thoughts take form, and I can find solace there.
I am also working on a novel and will be documenting my process on this blog, so sit back, read and subscribe, follow and share!
